Try our 4×4 Course
We are offering taster sessions on our 4×4 course in partnership with Station Garage Mitsubishi Aberdeen and Torphins. This is a unique opportunity to try the course which is normally only available for corporate events. This will be a chance for families to experience a short off road trip with an experienced instructor or alternatively to have instruction driving off road. Booking information to follow.
Visit Trade Stands
There are a range of stands in the Aswanley barn, from saddlery and country clothing to food and wine, as well as a massage therapist on hand to help with any tired limbs. Businesses include Promper Clobber, Pieroth Wines, Portsoy Ice Cream, Sorbeo horse bedding, Bits and Boots Saddlery and Miranda Montgomery Massage Therapist
Watch the Horse Trials
Visitors are welcome to watch all three event disciplines. The best views of the cross country course are from the front of the Aswanley steading which overlooks the water jump, where the trade stands, bar & BBQ are also located.
Aswanley Horse Trials is run like a charity. It is organised by a volunteer committee and the local community give their time to fence judge, marshal and produce wonderful teas all in aid of supporting this exhilarating sport in the North East.
Please note: wheelchair access is extremely difficult because of the pedestrian bridge across the River Deveron which provides the access from the carpark to the steading.
