Info for Guests

We look forward to welcoming you to Aswanley. Due to the current pandemic we have had to alter how our weddings run but please rest assured it will be the same warm welcome as always just with some extra measures to keep us all safe.

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before the ceremony is due to start and be seated as soon as possible. You are welcome to use the toilets before the ceremony where the usual hand washing facilities will be available.

Hand sanitiser is available throughout the venue, including on each dining table. We would remind you to clean your hands regularly, especially when coming in or out of the venue.

As per current guidelines face coverings must be worn when inside the venue and may only be removed when eating or drinking. This includes when moving around the building e.g. to the toilet or when entering/exiting. Face coverings do not need to be worn in the grounds however please remember to keep to a 2m distance between households when outside.

Indoors, the venue is a 1m distancing zone in accordance with hospitality guidance. Guests are requested to be seated as soon as possible and remain seated as much as possible. There will be socially distanced seating areas set up throughout the venue. Please do not move the furniture and do not switch between tables. A 1m distance must be kept between households at all times indoors.

The bar will operate on a table service only basis. Please ask a member of staff if you would like to order a drink. Card payment only in the current climate.

In accordance with current restrictions everyone must leave Aswanley by 10pm. Last orders will be at 9.30pm. Please pre book your taxi home!

We advise you to read the full industry guidance before arrival to know what to expect.

This is an ever changing situation which we are constantly monitoring and will keep this page updated. If you have any queries or concerns please contact our venue manager Lauren Rodman by emailing lauren@aswanley.com and she will be delighted to help.

Live streaming of our wedding ceremonies are now available on our YouTube channel. Couples can say their vows with their absent friends and family joining in remotely.

The couple will send each guest a link to the YouTube live stream in the week leading up to the wedding. You do not need a password to access the stream.

The stream will start 15 minutes before the ceremony and last until the end of the service.

It won’t feel like a normal wedding but it WILL be a lovely day and a celebration of love

Lauren, Our Wedding & Events Manager
