A luxury self catering lodge, Wester Park is ideal for groups: it has a spacious kitchen with an Aga and large dining table for everyone to congregate around, combined with the privacy of all the bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms. The cosy sitting room with its open fire, has recently been equipped with a new Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV with Freeview.
There is plenty of room in the holiday lodge's hall to store sporting equipment, ideal for those on Highland fishing holidays. Or for those with more bulky equipment, like mountain bikes, there is a lock up shed, with a rack for fishing rods, next to the holiday lodge in the old farm buildings. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer and there's also an airing cupboard to dry out any damp boots!
The lodge's large open plan kitchen has an Aga so it immediately feels very homely. If you're planning a family gathering or wedding at Aswanley, which includes renting one of our other self catering holiday cottages: Jocky Milne's or Straitinnan, then Wester Park's kitchen table is ideal for everyone to eat together - sitting up to ten people. Or in fine weather, there is a charcoal BBQ and outdoor furniture. If you don't fancy self catering then we can arrange a chef to cook for you.
All the holiday lodge's bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Two are upstairs, and one downstairs which is easily accessible for the elderly, or for those who find stairs tricky. Two of the bedrooms have twin beds which can be zipped together to make a super king double bed.
If you would like to combine your holiday with field sports, we can arrange fly fishing, rough shooting or deer stalking on the estate. Fisherman can walk from the cottage to Aswanley's top beat on the River Deveron for an adventurous highland fishing holiday. Rough shooting and deer stalking can be arranged to suit the beginner or the expert. The lodge is a dog friendly holiday cottage - the hall is very spacious so is ideal for dogs and their paraphernalia!
As well as fly fishing, rough shooting and stalking, visitors can explore the area on mountain bikes or walking. Mountain bikers can follow the old drover's road up the River Deveron Valley to the Grouse Inn where you can sample one of their many single malts, and see their unbelievable collection of over 700 bottles of the finest whisky! Or if you fancy some purpose built trials for mountain bikes, then Moray Monster Trials are only twenty miles away.
