This traditional stone cottage is great for friends and relaxed family holidays; it has a spacious kitchen with an Aga and large dining table, comfortable sitting room with an open fire and all the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
The holiday cottage has two upstairs bedrooms and one accessible downstairs bedroom. Two of the bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) have twin beds which can be zipped together to make a super king double bed.
Westerpark cottage is just over the hill from Aswanley wedding venue. It’s a popular place for the bridal party to stay. There’s plenty of space and the large kitchen can double up as a temporary make up studio. The neutral grey interior walls provide an elegant backdrop for preparation photos; outside the rustic farm building walls give character and warmth. If you’re renting one of our other cottages, then Westerpark’s kitchen is a suitable location for everyone to eat together (table seats ten people). Or in fine weather, there is a charcoal BBQ and outdoor furniture. If you don’t fancy self catering then we can arrange a chef to cook for you.
The cottage is dog friendly. It is located in beautiful highland landscape with plenty of options for walking the dog (although it doesn’t currently have an enclosed garden). There is a large utility room with plenty of space for dog beds and sporting equipment. In addition, there is a lock up shed next to the holiday cottage in the old farm buildings. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer and there’s also an airing cupboard to dry out any damp boots!
We provide self catering holidays with fly fishing, rough shooting or deer stalking exclusively to people staying in our Aswanley cottages. The holidays are tailor made for your group, to suit the beginner or test the expert. Please contact email@example.com for further information.
Westerpark is a good base for exploring Aberdeenshire; it’s not far from the Whisky Trail, which includes the famous Glenfiddich Distillery, just six miles from Aswanley; many Aberdeenshire castles, and sporting attractions such as Moray Monster Trails and The Lecht. From the cottage, the area can be explored on bikes or walking. Mountain bikers can follow the old drover’s road up the River Deveron Valley to the Grouse Inn where you can sample one of their many single malts, and see their unbelievable collection of over 700 bottles of the finest whisky.
