The 17th Century fortified house and gardens provide a magical backdrop for a wedding; and once the formalities are over, the Victorian barn is the ultimate place to celebrate.

Our barn is spacious and versatile. It consists of a series of interconnecting rooms with the fireplace room at the centre.

You can have your wedding ceremony indoors in front of the fireplace or in the ballroom; or outdoors in front of the barn. You’ll have a choice of spaces for your reception drinks too – on the terrace, barn lawn or in front of the fire.

Off the fireplace room is the dining room, a long barn that can seat up to 154 people to dine banqueting style. For larger parties, the ballroom dance floor can be used for up to 250 people.

Extensive Grounds

The gardens and surrounding landscape provide a variety of backdrops for your wedding images, from the garden ponds and stream, to the banks of the River Deveron and woodland beyond.

The ultimate space to celebrate

Aswanley has all the space you need to throw the biggest party of your lives. You’ll love the reasonable bar prices and you can be as noisy as you want. When it comes to dancing, the ballroom is the ideal space for a ceilidh. There’s no waiting for the room to be ‘turned around’ after dinner; large archways allow the dining room and dance floor to flow into one so guests are able to watch the dancing from their seats.
