Weddings Overview

Welcome to Aswanley, home of the Ingleby family. Aswanley is situated in the unspoilt valley of the River Deveron, on the edge of the Scottish Highlands near Huntly, Aberdeenshire. It’s been a much-loved family home for many generations and it’s a wonderful place for weddings and holidays in the Highlands. We have created an unusual wedding venue suitable for both sumptuous wedding receptions and intimate family gatherings. We can look after small wedding parties or up to 300 guests for a wedding reception, dining and dancing. Aswanley lies on the banks of the River Deveron, surrounded by woodland on the edge of the Grampian Highlands.

An exceptional wedding venue

The venue consists of a secluded fortified house, magical gardens and spacious Victorian barn.   The barn boasts all the features of a country house wedding venue and the comfort you would expect to find in a private estate in the Scottish Highlands, but with the scale and flexibility that many wedding venues cannot offer.

Your home for the day

Aswanley is spacious, adaptable and yours for the day. The barn has a series of interconnecting rooms with its fireplace room at the centre. Your ceremony can be held indoors, or outdoors, to suit the style of your day , in the garden, under the 16th century stone arch or next to the baronial fireplace

More than a blank canvas

Aswanley can be styled as much or as little as you want.  It can be personalised with the tiniest of touches or completely re-styled. Hire includes everything you need, from chairs & tables to a well equipped catering kitchen, including cutlery, crockery and glassware.
