At Aswanley we have created a unique setting for sumptuous gatherings and small family affairs. We can look after a couple of dozen friends and relations or 250 guests dining and dancing.

The restored Aswanley Steading boasts all the features of country house living and comfort you would expect to find on a private Highland estate. We are entirely flexible. You can hire the steading for as long as you need; an afternoon or a long weekend. We have organised weddings large and small for our own families and friends and friends of friends. So we really do understand the importance of attention to detail.

THE PLACE

With its huge open fire Aswanley Steading offers a space many hotels and castles
would die for. Within the warm stone walls we have created a flexible series of interconnecting sitting rooms, lounges and bar areas around a central dining room and dance floor. In summer we throw open the French windows and doors to the river terrace. You can hire the entire complex
or just the rooms you need.

THE CEREMONY
Religious and civil ceremonies can be conducted at Aswanley in the garden or main hall. Ministers and priests of all denominations are usually delighted to hold services here. For those who prefer a church service the parish church is just over the hill in Botriphnie and there is a Roman Catholic church in Huntly.

ACCOMMODATION
We have a selection of estate cottages within a few minutes drive of the Steading, perfect for the close family and friends of the bridal party. In addition, there is a variety of accommodation available in the local area.

THE ENTERTAINMENT
No wedding in Scotland is complete without a piper who traditionally plays in the guests and plays out the newlyweds. You may even want a full pipe band.
For the ceremony there is a wealth of talented classical musicians and quartets
available. Dance to Scottish fiddle and accordian bands, live groups and disco.

CATERING
We work with a select group of trusted local caterers. They can provide menus suitable for a range of budgets, from champagne receptions with nibbles to full wedding lunches and dinners, waited on by friendly local staff.
